Hi friends! Welcome to today’s tiny tale.

It was raining cats and dogs. All the roads and rail routes were flooded. The city had come to a standstill. It was half-past eight, and there seemed to be no hope for respite. The first thought that came to Mandar’s mind was that of his wife, Sandhya. Her whereabouts were bothering him as he was not able to get in touch with her. Like many other people stranded in their offices, schools, and colleges, Mandar’s colleagues too would have to spend the night in the office, with no food and no electricity. Though feeling absolutely helpless, he brushed his worries aside and decided to do all he could for them.

His apartment was within walking distance from his office, so he invited his colleagues and served them hot soup with sandwiches. While making sleeping arrangements for them, his phone rang. Hoping it would be Sandhya, he ran to answer the phone, but his heart sank when he saw that it was an unknown number; nevertheless, he answered it. And to his relief, Sandhya had called from someone else’s number to inform him that she was safe. While she was waiting in the hospital for the rain to subside, her patient had offered her shelter for the night.

Mandar smiled to himself. He remembered his father, who always used to say, “What goes around, comes around!” A good deed is like a chain reaction, and it  is bound to come back to you some time.

Stay tuned…. Goodbye !
